Gemidis heating device
A gemidis heating device capable of continuously heating the getter inside a fluorescent lamp.
The Gemidis heating device is designed in the shape of a heating coil that can be integrated into production lines, allowing for continuous heating of the getter inside fluorescent lamps. Gemidis (GEMEDI®) is a trademark of Saes Getters S.p.A., and we have received permission from the Japan branch manager to refer to it as the "Gemidis heating device." This Gemidis is a dispenser developed by the Saes Group for sealing mercury into fluorescent lamps. By applying high-frequency heating to this Gemidis, it becomes possible to seal a precise amount of mercury into the fluorescent lamps. The Minamata Convention on Mercury, adopted and signed in October 2013, will lead to increasingly strict regulations on the amount of mercury sealed in fluorescent lamps worldwide starting in 2020.
